Welcome to an innovative program for infants through preschoolers that combines the comfort of small-group settings with the social advantages of center-based care. Our philosophy to encourage all aspects of children’s growth (social, emotional, cognitive and physical) in a developmentally appropriate program tailored to children’s needs. We provide an environment that is loving, nurturing, responsive and enjoyable, helping to make your child’s first educational experience a positive predictor of future success. We also believe that the quality of a program is not determined by its length per day or its sponsorship. A Child’s Place feel the major determinant of the quality of an early childhood program is the degree to which the program is developmentally appropriate. We at A Child's Place strive to give our children an appropriate program, according to his/her level of maturity.

With our Keyless Entry System we take control of building access and security at our center by allowing entry only to authorized staff and families. Unique ID codes are assigned to each person eliminating the cost and hassle of lost keys or magnetic swipe cards. Codes may be disabled at any time providing a safe secure environment for children and peace of mind for parents. In addition to the entry system, exiting the facility requires two hands operation that limits this task to an adult so our kids are unable to leave the center without adult supervision.

Curriculum
 Our curriculum is child-centered and we believe that children grow and learn by doing. The Infant/ Toddler schedule is flexible. We also know that children learn best when they have active involvement with their environment. At A Child’s Place, children will have opportunities to express themselves in art, language and physical activities scheduled daily to appeal to the child’s needs and interests.
Our infant-toddler program is based upon a philosophy that allows infants and toddlers to explore their world from their own perspective. We have created a safe and stimulating environment where an infant can develop muscle coordination, eye-hand coordination, gross motor and cognitive skills, cooperative and independent play skills, and imagination.
Preschoolers at A Child’s Place will have a schedule, The DLM curriculum is implemented in the VPK classroom and the School Readiness Express is implemented in the three year old classroom with weekly lesson plans providing opportunities in the areas of language and literacy, math, art, music, writing, blocks, manipulative, creativity and in social growth. Both curriculums is based on the Florida Sunshine State Standards
We provide information regarding your child’s progress on a regular basis. Two observations charting the development of your child will be completed and shared with you. We will also communicate by way of a quarterly newsletter and letters to parents as appropriate. We encourage parents' questions, opinions and involvement, and appreciate the opportunity to share in your child’s early years

Teachers and Staff
A school is only as good as its teachers and we are proud of ours. Our school is staffed with well-qualified, experienced, caring people who enjoy working with children. Our teachers and aides have considerably more training than is required by the State of Florida. Some are college graduates, while others are currently enrolled in college curriculum. Before hiring, the background and references of each applicant are carefully checked. Every employee of the school must have a criminal record check by the State of Florida.
